m.unit blue, reg/rect sens line on SR250

Oi,
I'm upgrading my SR with m.unit and I'm not sure what to do with brown wire from reg/rect. On stock it shorts to 12V when ignition is on. Should I use one of the aux outputs for it or use it as stock..splice it from ignition lock on side that goes to m.unit?

Either will work.

The idea is that the brown wire should have 12V, but only when the motorcycle is turned on.
