Hi,

Just bought a 1971 CB350 from my buddy…paid $50!
He’s had it since 97, he never licensed it but had it running.
I plan to hang around this site a lot in the future, hopefully bleeding you all for information ;-)
I’m planning to strip her right down and do the following to her.

1) Rearsets
2) Powder-coat the frame red.
3) Aluminum tank
G) K&N Filters
7) Jetting
9) Cut down the rear fender
10) Mod the seat
C) Clip-on’s, cables, etc
X) New headlight, turn sigs, brake light.
Y) Power-coat the rims black, new spokes, stock brakes
Z) Anything else along the way!

See the present pic’s and what I’m gunning for! Note the air filters, awesome!
PS; What does "Do The Ton" mean?
Thanks,
Bruce

Nice starting point and nice target.

Do the Ton means hitting 100mph on your bike. Google cafe racer and/or 'do the ton' and you'll find lots of history.

Hey Bruce!!

Welcome to the board!!.. cb350 is a great starter bike for a cafe racer!!

Regarding the Ton, check these out...

Nice find. Those look like CB360 exhausts to me. That's actually a rare colour, are you going to repaint it?

CB360 pipes, I haven't a clue?
I need a service manual, I'd like to download one if I could! Anyone know where?
I'm going with mostly red, want to put a thick white stripe outlined by two thin black stripes down the centre of the bike, tank, fender.
