I decided that the BikeIt Falcon headlamp/fairing is too much for a 1977 bike. I also decided that in it's stock form, it's almost too much for ANY bike. The ore I looked at it, the less it was my cup o' tea.
I was going to take it down to the bare elements and fit it on a Bultaco Metralla America fairing. After much thought, I said "nah".
So the Falcon was already cut up doing nothing. I like the design of the individual headlights. The ellipsoid shape is cool. I had a spare headlight bucket, and suddenly, an idea popped into my head!!! Why not make a bucket and face for a 7" headlight bucket and incorporate the individual headlights into the bucket?!?
I will be making buckets for the lamps, and ofcourse the face from fibreglass (my vacuum bagging equipment was sold, rather than junked as part of an agreement with a composites manufacturer) very soon. I just have a few preliminary bugs to work out. Then I will be laying 'glass very, very soon.
