NEWFOUNDLAND Two Wheeled Tuesday

Hey East coasters, anyone out there located in St. John's?!?

I work days at an automotive parts store and in my travels I often end up at William's Automotive, downtown St. John's. Mr. Wayne Williams is a legend. He restores all kinds of motorcycles, I've seen an ancient BSA, Triumph and 3 vintage Yamaha enduros come out of there in the past couple of years.

He still has one of the Yamaha's at his shop for sale but he rides it often.

While speaking with him last week he mentioned there is a group get together at his garage (the black and white checkered garage under the overpass to the highway) on Tuesday Nights! I'm hoping to make it down on the Seca next week if anyone wants to join!!

Hope to hear from a few people.

I've seen pictures of some of the bikes they have done and they look awesome. I wasn't aware that he had a regular get together there, good to know. I'll try to make it down sometime but evenings are very difficult for me, kids activities almost every night. So much so, most of my garage time is my lunch hours. :)

Thanks for posting it and let me know how it goes if you make it out to one.

Will do.

Turns out they have a social at their shop on Fridays from 6-9PM (with coffee and beers).

The two-wheeled Tuesday meet is actually run by Wayne Williams now but I stopped in to the Franklyn's Finest shop today to meet the guys and they said they will try and get it back on the go every Tuesday also... Perry did you know one of them is the guy who bought your Kawi cafe??

They seem like nice guys, and deal with DCC frequently they say. Lots of cool lids there too.

No he pulled it apart to work on the electrics and left it apart for now. It's a shame!

Yes it is. I knew he was working on the electrics right after buying it, I dropped a new regulator into him shortly after selling it. Hopefully he can get it back on the road.
