Joe's CB450 is almost perfect to me. Love it.

Love the seat. It absorbs all light!

.......There's something about this that's so black, it's like how much more black could this be? And the answer is none. None more black.

EDIT: will be getting a merged header with reverse cone, a gixxer steering damper, and hopefully a drilled brake rotor done within a week or so.

Here is a link to my bikes build, I call it "The Repsol",
http://www.dotheton.com/forum/index.php?topic=15139.0
Garage built, home brewed, CB500T
Rebuilt engine
Full elec.ign.
upgraded coils.
cdi.
hotter plugs
open exhaust
upgraded suspension
stretched swing arm
chopped/rebraced rear frame.
etc
I started out with a mix of many ideas influenced by many builders and friends.
The end result was this, much unintentionaly as alot of what I did evolved as the bike progressed, the only thing I was sure of since the start was that I wanted sporty, low and sleek, with a somewhat minimilistic look, then after everything with the help of Brandon and Micah, the team honda repsol themed paint job was chosen, and I ended up with this, what I call a vintage interpretation of the Honda repsol race bike.

I will try and get some glam shots asap and post any info I coulda forgotten in the thread.

I think this month is even harder than last months.
There is at least 3 bikes on here that would and hopefully will get my vote. But I have to settle for the non Pro builder out of all.
DCC's bike is my top pick out of all, then the BCR one off tank CB450 is just plain amazing.

But I have to go with.... I'm not telling. But for real, lots of hondas on here this month. :D

I'm the new guy here and I have to say its an honor to be included with the great bikes here. Its cool to have a place to fit in. I am not a professional builder or a rich person. I work in an automotive garage for my day job. Nights and weekends are spent working on bikes or riding bikes. I build as much as I can myself. The CB450 is the third bike for me, its the culmination of 1.5 years of hard work, scraping together nickles & dimes and salvaging old parts. Here is my build thread. http://www.dotheton.com/forum/index.php?topic=19329.0 I didn't do alot of pictures beacuse I work very messy and its a little embarrassing. My bike lift was a plastic parts tote until I could mount the center stand. I ride with the CT Rockers. My friend owns a powder coat shop, competitive edge coatings so I swapped a few car reapirs and he did my powder work. My bikes cost me more in back labor than money since cash is hard to find.
Details,
Rebuilt engine +3 overbore, head work & porting by me, new gaskets/seals, cam chain, cam bearings, new shift shaft, carbs redone with eastwood carb renew and polished bowls, domes, all engine parts polished by me with $60 Harbor Freight buffer 100 hours at least, aluminum motor mounts from a 70CL450
Hondaman ignition, new wiring throughout, LEDS for neutral & hi beam, Led turn sigs mounted inside headlight bolts, NOS hand controls with kill delete and silver color.
All electrics moved behind seat.
BCR pea shooter exhaust made to fit my chassis.
BCR Hammer Head tank & seat
Buchanan spoked the wheels
Homemade rear sets
1970 CL450 front drum brake
3" extended swing arm
CB900f shocks
BCR custom bars with 450 gauge
All suspension rebuilt

Wow........Pretty neat to be up against some of the coolest builds. If I came in last place it would feel pretty awesome. So let's see, this is my first motorcycle build. My younger brother Tim and friend / teacher Tony made this all possible. I bought the bike as a non runner last summer and we instantly took everything apart. Over the winter we really jumped into it and hand sanded and wire wheeled just about every piece on the bike. The cylinders were machined and I had a body shop paint various pieces including the frame and tank. We assembled the motor and all other parts. I wish I could have painted the bike myself but like many I don't own a paint both :p. It feels good knowing that we accomplished so much with so little outside help. I really wanted to build a bike that wasn't too flashy but wasn't in need of TLC so I thought long and hard about the color scheme and the overall flow of the bars and seat/frame. I am really happy with the outcome and hope people enjoy looking at it as much as I do. Tonight Andrew took some more pictures in Salem MA........since Halloween is right around the corner and grave yards look cool (if your alive!) I figured we couldn't go wrong. Below are a few photos from my phone. I am just waiting for Andrew to post his pics on his site and then I will post those. By the way, the bike fell on its left side while taking pictures . Luckily it only bent the front brake lever and license plate so that's an easy fix. Phew......My fiance was there and screamed......I had my back to the bike but when I heard that noise I felt like digging a six foot hole and taking a nap if you get what I mean ;).

Yeah DrJ! Gotta vote for him cause I know he rode that fucker to Ypsi! Across the bridge. Then on the way home, stopped by the abandon train station in the ghetto of D Town for some photos! All great bikes though! And P71sohc, how long did you spend at the cemetery that day? WTF?

I feel bad for the Dime City boys. I loved watching them build the CB450 on Cafe Racer TV. The brass touches are remarkable. Unfortunately cb550fcafe's CB450 got my nomination and vote from the get go. If I had to make a second vote it would be Dime City. None the less, they are winners in my book for sponsoring and contributing to this great site and the cafe culture. :)

so many sick scoots this month!!!! man... but i have loved hurleys scoot from the day he showed it... that ext swing does it for me... just what i picture when i think of cafes, long and low

Oops.... Clicked the wrong button.

Someone got my bogus vote :p Doesn't really matter because it's a badass bike anyway, YOU'RE WELCOME DrJ aahhaha.

Thanks Hurley! There are so many great bikes here, I'd love to have all of them in my own collection, I just need to win the lottery!

congratulation cb550f! bike came out nice! like the color scheme! nice to see that bike for a month on the banner! :)
