(Pittsburgh Area) anyone with Video shooting / editing skills?

Hey,
Had an idea the other day to do a music video of sorts... featuring a local band and all kinds of cool motorcycle related stuff especially some of the awesome riding roads we have here in W.PA. However I am hitting a brick wall finding someone that can help who has video shooting and editing ability hoping someone here can help.

:\ I'd share my 2 years of experience as a videographer for QVC and my degree in video production for you but I am in Philly.
 
well, if your really open to it (and no on on this side of the state turns up) I would look into how to make it work, its only a few hours between us.

My schedule has me all tied up and lately ive been working weekends too which is rare. I will make suggestions though. A nice piece of editting software on the user friendly side is Adobe Premiere Elements. Not crazy advanced like Final Cut Pro but enough plus more to get the final product you are looking for. As far as video. Your gonna need to find somebody with a Professional Camera. No prosumer stuff, aka retail product. The video quality is on two different level. If that's all you have to work with then i guess it will have to do.
 
I run sound part-time for a buddy of mine's production company. I can ask him if he was willing to do some work for free. He is always looking for cool stuff to add to his reel.

We are in Frederick, MD, but doing this would give me a good reason to come up to Pitt and see some of the Usual Suspects anyway.
 
That would be awesome... If any money was to come out of it, say going viral on youtube or anything... I will split the profit with you guys, and could probably hook him up with some professionally screen printed t-shirt for his company.
 
no real rush to get it started or done, just an idea I had last weekend... but want to see if I can make it happen. There is a bike event in Cleveland in September, they are going to screen some movies there as part of the event if we end up with something cool before then I bet I can get them to play it leading into the movies.

Just want to do something fun and different and maybe get some exposure for the parties involved with the project.
 
you can also pm mentat ( christain ) he may be able to help. he's on the east side of the burgh.
 
I can do still photography but I don't have video stuff. I know people that do though, probably could get some free help and I also am friends with a guy that does independent films and videos but he will most likely cost you.
 
Hey there was some great response for this, I would love to work with you guys on it... I am not giving up totally and would love to run with it. Been a little overwhelmed since getting the news last thursday that my day job could be eliminated in the next two months... which effictivly eliminates the shoe string budget I would have had for this project.

But if anyone is still intersted in working on this lets make it happen... and save your money, I may need you to buy a lot of t-shirts over at www.rockandride.com so I can feed my family (j/K)
