Sorry, I thought this was the New England forum.

That was just a jab for CT to see who's watching. I'm new to this board, but not new to the world.

I understand CT's amazement. Maine is not a hotbed of Rocker culture.

I'm going to the show, but have to leave early 'cause it's the wife's birthday and I can't convince her that a day in Gray is a good time for her.

Black o/f helmet with silver stripes on a green cb350g (disk front) mostly stock. Answers to "Bob".

Pure Lunicy and I will be there nice and early Legend. I'll be rockin the helmet to the left and on a Kawi 800 vulcan. See you there!

Just found this forum today while doing a search for the Rockerbox Show.

There will be about 10 of us coming up from the Treefort Cycle Shop in Portland - a couple of us are on old BMWs, a few are on old Triumphs, and a few on old Hondas. Our friend will be there with his Vincent.

I hope the rain holds off!

I had to leave early and I think it was you guys that I passed a couple of miles south of Tailgate on rt 100. At that point I was really unhappy about having to leave. Tell us more about Treefort.

You were on a blue bike?

The Treefort Cycle Shop is a spot in Portland rented by 5 guys who ride vintage bikes. They do some work on other peoples' bikes, but mostly they work on their own bikes. It's also a hangout/hub for vintage motorcycling folks in the Greater Portland area.

We actually ended up with about 20 folks who rode up together. Three from our group won prizes for Best Cafe Racer, Best European Stock, and Best Japanese Bike.

You can check out their Facebook page here (that's my Ducati in their profile pic).

And if you want to join us for a ride, let me know - we're trying to work one out for next weekend.

Suki, were you the group that came in with the cafed' pedel ped? If you were, those were some great lookin' bikes. We left just as you guys were parking. You missed some sweet ones Bob!

Yes - that was us. It's crazy riding behind that little bike - he gets it up to about 70 mph (he won best scooter, but then there was no competition).

I'm sorry we missed you guys! We had hoped to get there earlier, but getting 20 mostly-hungover bikers and their mostly vintage bikes on the road is like herding cats.

We always have a big group that rides up to the Owls Head Vintage Bike show on Labor Day weekend, and there is a party planned for 9/24. It's always good to have a destination for a ride - so if you guys know of any cool Maine/Northern New England bike shows, let me know.
