So who here in our area really knows Hondas?

Been Around the Block
I was working a possible angle to get professional help on my CB500 project, and the build was possibly going ot be on TV, but that fell through. So, I am back to square one with my big lack of knowledge and resources. However, I am looking forward to forging ahead and getting this thing done. Its a bit of a bummer though, that most likely, I wont be able to get my bike done before my wedding, but oh well, I'll live.

What I was wondering though, is if there are mechanicaly savy people here who know these Hondas pretty well? I think lingo might have a handle on them a little, so I will probably bug him with questions. But if I get really stuck on something, it would be nice to be able to bug someone to help figure it out right. My main concern is safety! I want this bike to be put together safely so I don't end up killingmyself because I put something together wrong.

On that note, its time for me to get my ass motivated for the day so that I can get out in the garage and dom something to this old CB500!

I am no bike expert but I have been wrenching on my own shit for the last decade. I have tools and I am willing to help. Let me know when is good for you.

If you want to pay it forward a little, I have a GL1100 motor I am in the middle of if you want to come over.

Being new to the area I can't recommend any shops but same as Lingo, I'm no expert but I've been wrenching on my own stuff for a while now and I'll throw in my $.02 on anything I can.

What sort of issues are you working on?

Oh, I saw the avatar and just figured if he got that far then something specific was holding him up.

So yeah, the IRS pretty much h crapped on me, delaying the project. ; I was going to get my frame powder coated here soon, but the funds got diverted. I've years of people getting very good results with appliance epoxy paint, and IP had a couple of cans of that laying around...

It might not be the best job ever, but its not the worst, and I can live with the results. Updates in my project thread soon!
