Hello, this is one of my projects, almost finished, one scrambler/big enduro VX800.

I'm trying to do side covers/panels, adapting a pair of TT600 covers. Will be used as model to make final form.

And some pics from different stages.

I like the big tires, they fit this bike well.
Yes, but is a pain in the ass to find a good tyre for 18" front wheel , i'm using 110/80 -18 MC58S TT on front and 150/70 - 17B M/C 69T TL M+S on rear, the bike is heavy, 230 kg wet.

My CB is heavy too, but for the riding I do it is fine. We are both still lighter way than most of the HD's out there. My co workers street glide is 800#, or 365kg. He goes through tires like toilette paper.
I just started a similar project with a KZ750B twin. It needs LOTS of help, but is something different. (Lots of help!)

Your bike is a good base to start a big enduro/scrambler project. Keep the fuel tank, make a custom seat, remove passenger pegs and all unnecessary parts like old turning signals, stock exhaust, fenders/mud guards, etc. A search on net is a good ideea for inspiration and how-to-do hints.

So far the bars are off for some XR Honda bars, I have a variety of old fenders to choose from , some 5" longer forks from a KZ1000 donor, a 21" aluminum front rim, the front brakes have been reworked, and some steel is ready to make a cool removable rack for camping. A new coil should get her sparking and then some fuel system care is next. It has been abused pretty bad so I dont know what I will find. It was out in the snow and did not roll.

This is the feel/style I am going for without being a copycat.

Depends on you in what manner you'll choose to modify the bike. Personally, i would put a handlebar/fatbar, like on BMW GS or KTM, would keep the exhaust headers and change only the mufflers to have a clean line on the bottom end. Is just an opinion.

Pretty close to the final form.

I love how this bike reminds me of lots of other bikes (svartpilen, some kind of supermoto’d MT-01 up front and my KLR out back) and is totally original at the same time. Love it man, keep it coming

Bad news, in Romania we have an emergency situation, due to Covid-19, and everybody stay at home, so, all my projects are postponed till the end of this crisis.
I'm a little frustrated, so many bikes and no time for chop & ride.

Bummer. That is a nice line up there! Same here with the "social distancing". It is just weird. Stay well friend .

Because of too many bikes, projects or running, i've started the build of a new house, and a bigger garage, so, al the money will be spent on that, and i cannot ask for subvention (from my best half) for finishing the projects till the house isn't ready/finished.
But, because i want more from this bike i'll swap the front fork with one from a TT600R, 45 mm diameter. The bad part is: rear shocks cracked after some drive tests, and i need a pair of shocks longer than stock ones
And a better year to all!
