Following... love the progress so far. You will not regret the wheel upgrade even a little bit. Nice work so far.

Congrats. your are a few steps ahead of me.
I go way back though. I started building a 1950 Panther 100 out of two back in Chile circa 1973. No parts or catalogs of any kind.
Was a beautiful bike. That slanted forward piston with oil pump and jet to the piston made it indestructible. In spite of its air assisted forks it had no suspension or brakes to speak off for its speed. No accelerating pump so no modulation just wide open or shutdown, but a great cruise. Three kicks and you were sweating.
Back to today.
I found a Tr5Mx in great condition except that it was disabled and was in storage for a number of years. It had been upgraded to the 600cc kit but was left to sit outside and the rings rusted to the cylinder and ruined both. Was wondering if anybody knows of a source for that kit.
Also have an extra B50 complete motor but think is best to keep that and fix the correct numbers bike if posible.
Thanks for any leads.

The seat pattern is done, now I have no idea how to build the actual seat:rolleyes: Never made a seat like this before so it should be interesting.

Well the seat is coming along (seperate thread for that in the tank and seat section), can't finish it until I get everything positioned bars, footrests and seat. Right now I think I will have to trim some of the foam out as it seems a little tall but need to wait until final set up to know for sure. Stripped her down today and the frame and swing arm are almost ready for powder coat. We are still trying to decide the frame color, all along we were going to go with black but now I'm thinking silver. The color scheme for the bike is tank black with polished alloy knee panel area with a goldpinstripe around it, then gold BSA logo. Side panels will also be black with polished alloy number ovals and same pinstripe around that. Lower fork legs black. Triples will possibly be gold to tie in with the wheels. The engine originally I was just going to paint the outer cases black but now I'm thinking of doing the whole bottom end black.
