I think I saw Joe (JRK5892) say he goes every year. My plans for my bike changed due to some unexpected (but not unwelcome) financial restrictions. I'm saving up for a house down payment. So I've got less than $500 to finish my bike, and I'll be there tomorrow with a nice long shopping list.
You know, I'm looking at a huge pile of parts that I know I ain't gonna use on either of my bikes, and I'm kicking myself for not getting a table at this thing.
i did not make it this year... ended up having to work in the shop... few of my buddies went and had nothing good to say... people do not realize what they have is junk if they do not find the right buyer... asking more than the part can be bought NEW is just dumb.

That's pretty much the conclusion I made... You didn't miss anything. Still, I managed to find the only pair of bar-end mirrors in the place that weren't shaped like iron crosses, and a decent enough looking headlight for my project. Even with the cost of gas and the $6 admission, I still saved over shopping online...
Otherwise, slim pickens for any non-HD owners in attendance. There was one guy who had some brit/metric parts on his table (asking way too much for a pair of shorties) and another guy who looked like he was parting out a GSX from the late 80s.
even the hd guys... they see parts on TV and in the magazines that are re pop's of the vintage stuff and they think their old rusty HD stuff is gold... ha! alot of them need reality checks... i am a nightmare to those venders! hahaha i know my parts like mad as we deal with them all day in the shop... they quote me and i pull up new on my phone to show them how nuts they are... last year a guy tried to tell me the Patina is what makes it worth more... hahahaha sorry i dont pay for rust!
