What about a board track racer?

Im considereing buying a Buell Blast 500 cc single cylinder. Anybody had any experience building a board track racer or familiar with the bike and motor. There is one near by, a 2001 Buell blast for $1500. If I can get them down to $1,000. Ill do it. I dont have much experience doing major frame changes but I have a friend willing to teach me. I would have to change it to chain driven and I dont know how much work that would be. Any advice would be welcome or if you know a better set up/ bike to start with Im all ears. Ive seen some good ideas on DBBP.com . Thanks Josh.

I haven't seen a board tracker on this board. I have seen them built on the Jockey Journal-you might wanna try there. They LOVE Harleys/Buells (and hate most of our bikes :-\)

Well I bought the buell. It ran for a test drive then died when I got her home. took off the air filter and there was a dead bad in there. renamed her the bat mobile. replaced the carb boot, added an in line fuel filter and drained the gas. The gas was half gas half water. Filled her up and added some sea foam and she is running fine. Im already checking on a springer front end to chop. will start on her this winter. Thanks again for the pics.
