That is correct.

Runs fine on right cylinder, won't run on left alone. With both in it does not run well. After those tests I switched the points wires going to the coils (blue to yellow and yellow to blue) and plugged the right coil in the left cylinder and the left coil in the right one. Bike runs fine on...

Can anyone confirm faulty coil for me? Or is there something else I should be looking at?
