sounds like the actuator cam is decamming. are you adjusting the clutch at the cable or the engine case?

I used something like this

you need hoppy brand power converter part # 46365 and that will get you set up. it works with the multi bulb setup

I had a similar problem with mine. so did you check to see if the plates were stuck yet? If not this sounds wierd but my actuator rod actually got too short somehow ??? and I had the same symptoms. I could not find a spec for the length so I grabbed one from the local motorcycle wrecker and...

again have you messed with the adjuster on the shifter side of the motor?

seat is finished and painted just need to cover it, bobbed fender and shortened the taillight mount. look better?

#1 question ball bearing is on the cable side #2 I use gasket sealant did you try and adjust the cam on the cable side?
