Help with Trailer Wiring

Been Around the Block
I just bought a small trailer and hitch for my Toyota Echo (yes it’s a small bike). The hitch is on but the wiring is a problem. The regular 4 pin trailer connection on my trailer works with North American style one wire bulb set-ups, but asian two wire bulbs, well not so much. Or so say the packaging for the trailer hitch plugs came in. It also states I need a converter (?).

Anybody shed any light on this before I call the dealer?

I've put in 3 hitches and wiring harnesses in that last 10 years, a Ford, Mazda and a Toyota... the Japanese built Mazda was a simple splice job while the other two required a wiring adapter.

The dealership can get you one... going to be pricey! After a quick search it would seem the Draw-Tite 118386 wiring adapter is what you need... your local trailer shop or U-Haul should be able to get one in for you... should be ~$40.
