    Cb100 with a 200cc motor: debating brakes?

The XR engine from what I understand will almost fit and may just require the front mount to be altered. CB100's have a smaller wrist pin and therefore need the rod and top end from the 200. There are some big bore pistons out there and swapping some 125 parts back and forth to achieve...

    leggless in Missouri

Glad to hear someone else here from Misery. I'm in KCMO. Throw some pics up of the rides... Oh and I just looked up Brookfield... way the hell out there. Does that part of Missouri have roads?

    Cb100 with a 200cc motor: debating brakes?

Yup, me too. I do have a lead on a big bore piston that will use the same wrist pin as the CB100. Other options are sleeves, but I don't think you actually get 200cc.

Tank clearance for a mis matched tank

I had to work through the holidays and now might be coming close to another day off.. I think that I am going to shorten the rear "hoop" to make the overall seat shorter. I still am looking for opinions on the bump.

Fiberglass fender build. Looking for "support"

Switch to roving woven if you are worried about strength. Be warned, it will not make curves easily. You will have to go back with another layer of CSM unless you want to leave it exposed on the bottom facing the tire. You don't have to make up "peanut butter" to use as a filler. Any quality...

Tank clearance for a mis matched tank

This is the little sh*t can I've been tinkering with. The tank looks OK and is not mounted solid yet... so insert comments. I think that I am going to play around with some foam for the seat. The little piece there was only $5. Let the ideas flow... I thought about back cutting the foam...

Tank clearance for a mis matched tank

It turned out that the stops on the neck were broke off. A little bar stock and 5 minutes of welding and I have a new stop. It doesn't all that great, but it seems to work. I never had a bike that turned so sharp, so I got to wondering... It friggin cold out, so I will hopefully get...

Tank clearance for a mis matched tank

After playing with some last night again, the stops look to leave the forks almost perpendicular when turned all the way. It seems a little extreme, so I have some bar stock and will weld a little to each side of the frame to extend the stop. Anybody know of a different way? The triples look...

Tank clearance for a mis matched tank

Yeah, I will have to move the tank back a little. It's close to hitting the lock but hits the tank on the top. The bottom of the tank sits higher than the lower tree. Thanks!

Tank clearance for a mis matched tank

So my CB100 saga continues for right now... I have a CL175 tank mocked onto my tankless CB100. My question is if more people have trouble with the triple tree hitting the tank or if their clubman bars hit the tank first? I plan on getting a set of clubmans for this little bike to keep it old...

    COST to repair tanks

I had a tank that had a massive dent pulled, welded, filled, and primered in about an hour. The guy was a pro and previously had built fat tire choppers for a living. He did my work for a 3/8" air ratchet on trade. The point is, that it is nearly impossible to quote anybody's work online. I...

    DIY Exhaust help needed

Do yourself a favor and try to mock up what you want as much as possible. I've built several exahust systems, including downpipes, for my turbo cars. JCWhitney is probably the cheapest for mandrel bent pipe and try to avoid sharp bends. Most local exhaust shops use a madrel to bend pipe but...

Need to make a Xmas tool list, need some help

I have worked as a heavy mechanic and now manage guys in a locomotive repair facility. I have craftsman at home, S&K, Snap-on, some proto, and husky. All my hand-me down Craftsman hand tools are great. Everything else from Craftsman is junk. Keep in mind that most tools are milled in the US...

    CB100 help

NEVER doubt the power of craigslist... Since my tank was free and I really do like the way it sits, I'm really making an effort to salvage it. So I posted an ad to barter some dent pulling for a mini air ratchet that I've never used. A guy contacted me today saying that he could get the job...
