Thanks for all your advice and help. I found out that if I remove one of the lighting fuses I get a good charge and the bike runs-hence without a rear light.I do appreciate all the advice, looks like I will be busy but at least I know where to search.Thanks again- Frenchie.

Ummm , probably not.I kept on saying it was probably a switch or a ground,but I got almost a whole new charging system instead.Oh well....once it does get fixed at least I knowit should charge strong. But til then.

They rewound the stator, replaced the rectifier and volt reg. That was the initial diagnoses.When I got the bike back it still would not charge, so they took it back,and it still would not charge, so I took it back and it still would not charge. How deep into the testing of the wiring I dont...

Battery on my 550k is not getting recharged. Stator, rectifier and voltage regulator were replaced by a shop in Toronto, but problem persists after $850 for the same problem that it rolled in with and they dont seem to enthused to actually fix it.Any suggestions on a remedy?.Only getting 12.25V...
