yep, tried that! turns out it's a 723b, anyone know if a 723a shaft will work? there is a guy selling on for pretty cheap, might be worth it to give it a shot.
went ahead and ordered, didn't want to risk it! hopefully it'll clear it up and i can get it to go above 6k...
thank you.. is there any carbs that are considered "better" or an upgrade? since i probably will replace anyway, and yes i agree, it landed right on the throttle cable side and bent that so it wouldn't snap shut, then i tried to "massage" it back, and it failed...

i have a 73 cb450, and after cleaning the carbs and rebuilding i go to reinstall and drop one... awesome... this bent the shaft that holds the main butterfly and now the throttle wont snap close, thus causing a safety issue, i've got it as correct as i can...
