It looks like the cables I have are for earlier models of the CB550 (up to 76).

I ordered a set of push/pull cables for my 1978 Honda CB550k from a reputable shop that caters to the vintage UJM world. The part numbers are 02-0007 for the pull and 02-0008 for the push. When trying to install the pull, the inner cable appears to be at least 3cm too short. I can easily slip...

I talked with Chippewa. They said to bring the boots to a local shop that sells their boots (Boot Master on Yonge). They'll work with the store to get me a new pair....even though I didn't even buy the boots there. So far it sounds good. We'll see how it all works out.

I have a pair of get-a-grip blundstone-type boots. They're great and were only $40. I wish I could get another pair.
