You're totally right. I didn't even think of it in terms of my bikes wiring, I only considered the acewells diagram.

You can do it one of two ways, wrap it around the spark plug wire itself w/o splicing into anything or by splicing it into either the positive or negative. I took it to be positive on the diagram from Acewell which I think is correct...I'm sure Pete will swing by to have a word sometime.

While it was running I noticed that my Acewell's Tach wasn't functioning. When I wired it in I used the positive wire to the coil on the right side, I wired in the resistor that it came with just Pete did on his build. Nothing. Should I remove the resistor and try again? Or have I wired it to...

Thanks, the guy I bought it from actually had a set of the cast wheels he sold with it. He rightfully kept the spoked wheels on the bike. There are quite a few GS450's in the yard by me, if I ever see one with a front spoke wheel I'll make a note for you.
