Re: RC model airplanes - anyone into them? [Flight video]
Cheers box, yeah... not too shabby haha. The cheque didn't fund the RC gear, though - that was money I could afford to spend. The cheque is going straight to my 'Around Australia' fund!

Haha, pure gold.

Nice start mate, loving that thumb throttle... although I reckon it'd take some getting used to! Either way, you've got a nice build going and I'll be interested to see where it ends up.
All the best for it - boingk
Re: RC model airplanes - anyone into them? [Flight video]
Well, sort of. I was flying at a new field (off to one side of Gil Waminda) and brought her around to my left... forgetting the double-whammy of powerlines and fencing. I missed the powerlines but didn't pull up in time to avoid the top...

Anyway, I say it looks the goods...
Re: RC model airplanes - anyone into them? [Flight video]

I've seen some of the EDF stuff... they look right up...
Re: RC model airplanes - anyone into them? [Flight video]
Wingspan - Definitely try outside, its a lot of fun. You can get the thing quite far away before you start to have problems with orientation, too. On control throw, I'm not looking for a vast improvement, just everything I can get out of...
Re: RC model airplanes - anyone into them? [Flight video]
Thanks guys, good to hear some positive feedback :)
On the plane, it gets out of visual range quickly because its so small. Ended up on a neighbours roof yesterday afternoon actually. It might look squirly, but remember I've got the...
