Another crack at making a DOHC "cool"

What size are your wheels? The Shinko 705 is a good (affordable) dual sport tire with an 80% street 20% dirt tread. Pattern looks similar to what you have there.

These carbs don't have an overflow, which means if the float gets hung out, fuel just starts pouring out of the air filter. I'm not sure how it could get hung up in a fashion that would make it close too soon, causing a low fuel symptom?

Moto Gloves - Custom Leather Riding Gloves

Re: Moto Gloves - Custom Leather Riding Gloves starting at $45 Man that's too bad. I think I paid $50 for mine. Not sure I'd spend $70+ on them :/

That metzler looks like a good choice. I think you would be much happier (and safer) if you found a matching one of those for the back and sold off the knobbies.

I think it is possessed. The fuel comes in through a T between each carb (two fuel sources). I checked the fuel level multiple times and they all matched... so I don't think that's the source of the issue. Edit: Still thinking I should replace the jets with the XS1100 rebuild kits just so...

Checked the plugs last night and no surprise... black on left, white on right. Went ahead and bumped the needles up to the highest (richest) clip position. It actually ran BETTER this morning. Still a little popping on the right hand side. I'll check plugs again? Forgot about the color tune...

Okay you're right. So it makes sense that it would richen up when it gets warm and start running better. BUT, it doesn't make sense that it would start without the choke on if it was lean, which we all agree is probably the case given the popping and poor running conditions. So based on what...

Yeah, I saw those kits. Great deal for all those parts. Might go that route. Choke mechanism has been inspected over and over again. Bike doesn't require choke to start even when cold, and really doesn't want to run with choke. That means it's rich but leans out once the engine is warm? Doesn't...

No air leak. Strangely enough, the hike runs significantly better when warm. Like almost perfect. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
