1973 Cb 350F shuts off when I come to a stop

I've had the same thing happen on my 500 four. I cleaned up the timing to the best of my ability and that got rid of it almost completely but it still happens on a rare occasion. I'd say check that first but hopefully someone with a little more knowledge can chime in on this one.

    Poor fuel delivery

Well, whatever was causing the problem is now gone. Blew out all the ports with some compressed air and the fuel lines. Reassembled everything and hooked it all back up, turned the fuel on and it flew down into the carbs and not a single bubble came back up. Started right up on the second kick...

    Poor fuel delivery

That definitely isn't a problem. I glass bead blasted the entire carbs so they are as clean new. I'm tearing into them right now and will check all the porting and see if anything might be clogging them but so far everything looks to be clear.

    Poor fuel delivery

Just pulled the tank off to double check and it flows like a champ even with the cap closed.

    Poor fuel delivery

Having the tank cap open doesn't do anything for flow rate. I've even given the tank a small positive air pressure and it didn't help. I have a feeling it might be something internally with the cabs but I want to try and eliminate everything else before I split them open again.

    Poor fuel delivery

Hey everyone. Just finished my latest re-re-rebuild on my cb500 Four and have come into a small problem. For some reason the fuel isn't flowing out of the tank and into the carbs at a steady pace. I constantly have air bubbles in the lines and the won't go away. The carbs have been completely...

Project "Indecisive" '72 CB500 Four (laid some paint)

It's been a while since I last updated this so it's about time I do. I've been getting a good amount of work done and got some paint laid in the last week or so and it's turning out pretty good. Now I just need a new name for this project seeing as I'm finally getting somewhere on it...

Project "Indecisive" '72 CB500 Four (laid some paint)

Re: Project "Indecisive" '72 CB500 Four Woods - I haven't looked yet but I don't see why I couldn't find the rings and everything for the pistons to replace them just in case. If anyone knows a reliable source to get these parts at let me know. I picked up a cylinder hone and did the work...

Project "Indecisive" '72 CB500 Four (laid some paint)

Re: Project "Indecisive" '72 CB500 Four After checking out the pistons again I found all 4 are stamped with Honda on one side and the other side had some numbers. First set is stamped with 323 and 7 or 1? It's a little hard to tell Second set has 323 4 and 323 2 Any idea as to what these...

Project "Indecisive" '72 CB500 Four (laid some paint)

Re: Project "Indecisive" '72 CB500 Four bikeboy - The bottom end wasn't to bad there was just a little bit of gunk stuck to the oil screen and there was some sludge stuck to the oil pan itself. The odometer on the bike isn't the original and going off the mileage on the title I assume this...

Project "Indecisive" '72 CB500 Four (laid some paint)

Re: Project "Indecisive" '72 CB500 Four Rocan - So far it seems like it is. I've never done internal engine work before but everything is going pretty smooth and I was amazing at how simple the design of everything is. No wonder these engine last forever, there isn't anything to them. haha Do...

Project "Indecisive" '72 CB500 Four (laid some paint)

Re: Project "Indecisive" '72 CB500 Four Got some more work done today and took some pics of my soda blast cabinet. Just a standard ~30 gallon storage container I picked up at Lowes for about $15. The funnel is from Harbor Frieght and has a build in screen at the bottom of it to keep clumps...

Re: Project "Indecisive" '72 CB500 Four 03rangerxlt - Thanks!!!! It seems like the 500's are popping up all over the place on other boards, which helps for getting some ideas and seeing how other people are doing work to their bikes. Once I figure something out I'll be sure to post up and...

Project "Indecisive" '72 CB500 Four (laid some paint)

Hey everyone!! My name's Nick but everyone calls me Danish. I picked up this 72' CB500 Four in the summer of this year with the intentions of turning it into a cafe. I had done some work to it here and there to change the style of it while still keeping it on the road but now with winter here...

Alright PA crew, time for roll call!!!!

Hey everyone!!! Nick here. I live up in Sarver, which is about 25 miles North of the 'burgh. I was down at the Rockers vs Mods on Saturday with the cb500 four that had the aluminum seat pan on it. I probably talked to a few people on here at that event but I can't remember anybody's name. haha...
