How is that specifically about new liter class sportbikes?
And I'm guessing it's suppose to be humorous, since it reads like a Cougars guide for "How to find someone Rich, Young, and Desperate enough to put up with your Lazy, Needy, and High Maintenance Ass". :

I agree with redbird.
and my .02 having ridden both. I'll never buy a 600, liter bikes are physically bigger making them more comfortable for my 6'4 lanky ass. they are also better in the city, you dont really ever need to shift but the low end power is noticeable.
and that whole not faster... while in the jap world a 1000 is only a fraction faster during acceleration and 40-60kph faster on the big end on paper. In the real world there is a big difference. and then you toss a BMW into the mix and holy hanna! hahaha I spend a lot of time on a ZX10, my best friend has a S1000RR. him and I finally had a proper go last summer from a roll, he waited until i was in the power and tucked in before he whacked the BMW open. Passed me like I was standing still... both bikes are stock minus gearing and ZX is geared more aggressive then s1000

got the r6 as a first sport bike,im a fat guy,i need a liter bike.im sick of working my ass off in the corners to get passed by a normal sized human on the straights.....well on big willow anyway

I have ridden R1's since 99, and had the opportunity to ride a late R6 a while back. On paper very little between the new 6 and my 53 R1....really? The 6 is a young man's bike for sure, and of no use to me. Totally gutless unless having the tits ragged off it, and much harder work to ride than it's big brother.
As for the BM....it's a weapon. A pal bought one a year or so back, and after riding my R1 described it as placid !
Whoever thought you would hear that said about Yamaha's flagship crotch rocket. Mind you, the old Yam is probably giving away around 45 horses.

Yeah, I don't disagree with ya at all on that. Being a car guy, some people wonder why others get more tickets and some seam to slip buy with none. I've always driven straight piped cars (mostly BMWs; V8, Straight 6), but have never been pulled over except for a normal speeding ticket; which is warranted by the situation. It's whether you bring the attention to yourself or not. Revving at lights and redlining through the gears is gonna garner a lot more attention than normal cruising, loud exhaust or not.

I'd venture to guess that the vast majority of cops couldn't tell the difference between any 600 or 1000 on the market until it literally passed right in front of their face and even then, only if it had factory stickers indicating the size. That article was crap.
