1970 CB175 BUILD.

Figured I better check the trash for my float needles. Sure enough... They are on the aluminum foil mid right in the photo. My idea of safe keeping I geuss...
 
Ever figure out what that blue circle is? I'm going to be pulling my carbs out and apart monday or tuesday - I can check for ya.
 
nope havent figured it. On the other carb there is both of them. Little brass circle with a small hole in the centre. hmmm. In the photo it shows the other on the right.

Oh....SEAT MOUNT FINISHED!! I just bolted it up & its sexy. Blue in photo represents rubber/neopreme gaskets. As well the blue circle is stainless allen to frame.
& Im loading my parts bike in the truck to haul it over to a friends for exhaust mockup. Hooray!

Things are coming together, but now Im wanting chrome rims. Mine are pitted so I was gonna go black. Might do some shoulders?

Anyways, Im gonna black out mine for now, dont wanna stall this build any further.

e-test! haha yup. Not mounted yet, things are slow but Im still having fun. Will clean up the motor & mount the pipes for a glam shot this week.
 
this might come a little late, but a good step to add to your polishing is to rub it with #0000 steel wool and Mother's aluminum polish, followed by rag & polish. A nice, uniform, satin shine. If you can't remove those scratches then they're either from the scouring pad or #00 wool and you'd have to revert to whatever step and polish at each abrasive level again.
 
Yeah I went at it with a 3M pad first. Thats what got the scratches in. Then I followed with a 00 & 0000 steel wool. I wouldnt mind them vanishing, but polishing aint my forte. Thanks!

Not sure if your still looking for a satin epoxy paint.
Came across this at Canadian tire high heat VHT epoxy in satin or gloss, not identical to what I used but worth a try. ;D
