So I started this project about a month ago, bough the bike as you see it in the first picture for $450. After looking at it and tearing a few things apart in the garage here's all that I (and my brother-in-law) found wrong with it.

-Right Contact Breakers weren't sparking (have installed brand new coils and condensors, as well as a new contact breaker cover gasket)

-Rear brake pedal was warped as all get out (have a replacement)

-Clutch lever was bent to hell (have a replacement)

-Starter Button cables were cut then just twist connected like a 5 year old did it.

-Valve covers were lose, one severely stripped (trying to find a replacement cap if not 4)

-Valve timing on all the valves were completely off (got that fixed after a good night of thrashing with the brother-in-law)

-Someone had JB Welded the fuel outlet on the tank and used the bleeder for fuel supply (replaced tank with a CB350, just had to bend the seat pan around it to fit)

-(OBVIOUS ONE) Carbs needed a good cleaning

-Went to change the oil and out came this magnificent brown liquid with an insane amount of metal (kinda scares me)

-(OBVIOUS ONE) Tires need replacing (got a replacement wheel and tire from the brother-in-law, going to order one to match after its running)

SO, that's about it, at the current moment I'm just waiting to get the energy to mount the carbs and hook up my fuel lines!

I guess now I could tell you where I'm wanting to go with this bike. Well I dont have a picture all together, you guys know how it is. We see one thing on a bike and say "I want that seat! But that tank looks terrible.." and and it goes on and on until we have a complete bike totally put together in our minds. So I'm going to try and explain it the best I can.

At current, I have the stock Scrambler pipes installed, but I can't stand the look of those old mufflers. So I've found another pair of scrambler pipes where the mufflers are shot but the pipes themselves are really good. I'm gonna cut those mufflers off and weld or clamp some 12" Shorty mufflers on them, as well as some heat wrap instead of those corroded heat shields.

For my seat I'm waiting for DCC to get another shipment of their "The DCC Original 'Cafe' Leather seat".

I'll be ordering a set of black satin clubman bars as well as the controls and grips to match, and 2 bar end mirrors, as soon as I get her running.

And finally, I'm selling the stock fender, pipes, and possibly the tank(if you're willing to try and get the fuel outlet drilled out)

Thanks for looking!!

P.S. I'll have a picture up sometime soon of it all pieced together with the new tank and paint i've done.

I'm glad to hear you are sparing the scrambler pipes. It sounds like somebody really abused the poor bike over the years
