Hey guys,

I really hate for this to be my first post, especially since I've been lurking since the move from the other site, anyways to the point I've got a 73 z1 that I'm thinking of selling. Its a fairly low production number 25xx only I'm pretty sure that the engine is not original as the engine number is 62xx and they should be about 200 apart, I just kind of wondered of there were any kawi experts out there who might be able to tell me what a fair price might be, its obviously not 100% original but it was driven regularly and all it needs to pass a safety is a horn. Pretty sure that the clocks are correct but the idiot lights are not, seat is from a later ltd, dual disk front end is obviously not original and might have come from an ltd as well, no airbox K&N pods, kerker exhaust, obviously not stock color, might be a later than 73 gas tank, not sure. Anyways its a low number z1 with a correct 73 z1 motor, could pass safety with very little work. Just wondered what it might be worth, also might be interested in an interesting trade.

BTW My name is Sean and the bike is about an hour from Ottawa

Hey Expressway! Welcome to the site! We need more Kawasaki's here!

I'm a Kawi guy! At the moment I have 3: '74 750 H2 (4 Sale); '77 KZ1000 Street Superbike; '76 KZ900 Cafe Project.

It's really hard to say how much your beauty is worth. Obviously, it's worth what someone is willing to pay for it! The trick then is to find someone that WANTS it! The best way to do that is to shoot it on to as many 'sites' as possible (Kijiji, Craigslist, etc.). There are enthusiasts crawling all over those sites looking for deals! Be patient and I think you'll connect with someone!

I would respectfully suggest it's value is somewhere between $1000 and $2500 as it sits.

Good luck... I'd love to buy it if I had some dough, more space and could convince my wife we 'need' it! If I were you though, I'd keep it, ride it and in time, build it into the bike YOU think it should be!

I'd love to buy it, but convincing the wife will not be easy. :D

I agree with Drewski, as far as what people are willing to pay. $1000~$2500 at least.
Had she been all stock maybe $10000 or more these days.

Would you take monthly payments over 5 years? ;)
