1976 CB550F SuperSport engine

not sure how many miles, but overall the bike was in super super good shape and I believe it to be low mile. Manufacture date from the bike was 3/76. Have video of bike running before tearing down for parts (missing title).

I did a quick compression and leakdown test and snapped some pics. Overall, the compression numbers seem a little low, but this is with the oil drained and the motor hasn't really been run more than some idling since we got it....and it sat at least a decade before then.

Cyl 1, 2, & 3 all had around 15-18% leakdown and it was coming from the exhaust valve. Cylinder 4 was 22% leakdown and was coming from both valves. I would bet it's mostly just carbon buildup and there's a lot of oil residue on the fins beneath the head.....so my money would be on it just needing a headgasket and a good head cleaning to really be a strong/perfect motor. As stated (and shown in the video) it ran....and ran well honestly, I'm rather surprised the compression numbers weren't higher.
