Hi Guys, new here so be no flaming please.

I just got a 1978 CB750 Super Sport. I want to convert to wire wheels while retaining the dual front discs. What wheels fit this bike? What sizes look best? I would like a rear with a little dish if possible and would like to put a wider rear tire on. How wide can I go front and rear? Tire recommendations?

Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.

rumor on the street is you need to get a GL1000 front end (forks, triples, wheel, etc) and then a 75/76 750F rear wheel. I could be wrong though.

Does anyone know what year GL1000 front ends will fit? Does it have to be the full rear wheel or just the rear hub? Does it have to be a 750F or can it be a K models as well?

If you have an F and want a rear wheel disc brake that is spoked, that is specific to the 75/76 F model.

The hub is through drilled so all you need is a rotor and speedo drive modification to use any 6 bolt Honda hub (500/550/750)
Comstar wheeled bikes use different caliper mounts and I believe 5 bolt rotors (been a long time since I looked at one)

Does anyone know what the VIN range was on the 1977 GL1000's that work for the front end swap? I found a 77' GL1000 for cheap but want to confirm that it will work before pulling the trigger.
