1982 Honda CM400C Wheels broke

hello, im going to start building a 82 cm400c into a nice honda cafe racer.
the thing is, when i went to look at it, the wheels were cracked like this in on boths sides of both wheels.

so my questions are easy

1. What would cause that? over tightening the axle?

2. Can I buy different wheels ? (websites,links!)

what cracks are you referring to? if you are talking about the little slits that are between the bolts and further ahead of them, then that is supposed to be that way......These are comstars and the 5 star design is bolted to the hub and riveted to the rim, if you take your rotor off and the cover plates, you will see what I am talking about

If you are talkign about the parts in red circles, these are what Kamn said. Not cracks each is a seperate spoke of the wheel. No issues. I own 3 bikes with these comstars, all look like that.

i had no idea that's such a close cut , and it does look like a stress fracture of some kind lol!
I'm relieved to hear that this is stock on the wheels?? I swear I've seem them intact.

What do you think the odds are of 2 wheels cracking in the same 5 places?

There looks to be a little rust around the paint at the seam, which is making it look a little irregular, rather then straight as from the factory.
