I was given an old gn 125 from my brother. The character that gave it to him just had it sitting outside for who knows how long. The bike was in pretty rough shape. missing the gas cap so that the tank is pretty rusted inside. I hooked a jumper box to it and the little sucker turned over , had compression but no spark. I got ahold of a stator for it and it fired up on carb cleaner so i decided to tear it all the way down down and start a cafe project bike. I had it down to bare frame in a little under two hours and started from there. I de-tabbed it, removed the rust and began painting. Banner red was the color i went with on the frame. I really wanted it to stand out. I sent my cylinder to the machine shop to bore it .50 over ( the +1mm piston is no longer available from suzuki...) and ordered all new valvetrain parts minus the cam. i did a little port work on the head also. I painted the crankcase with black wrinkle paint, polished the valve cover , both side covers , and the edge of the cooling fins on the head and cylinder then wrinkle painted them. Rebuilt the forks and sanded the casting marks on the bottom tubes and polished those as well. im currently working on my wheels and hubs.
