I cannot find any parts for my carb, so I was wondering if anyone knows of a performance or any other carbs I can swap it out with. The stock carbs are cv bs36ss. I have had no luck finding replacement parts or carbs

Holy crap - I just tried going thru my GR build looking for info. What a mess!
But TB, if you decide to go with VM34's, here's what I can remember: they do slip right into the stock GR intake boots. You'll need to cap off the "swirling induction" ports on the head, and you won't be able to use the stock airbox without custom connecting boots. The VM carbs are shorter front to back than stock, so the airbox boots won't reach. Obviously, you'll need a 2-1 throttle cable (places sell a universal one, but I didn't go with that......can't remember what throttle cable I'm using ATM). The good news: jetting info is readily available online - but not in my build thread! Search around on XS650 forums, since people have been putting VM34's on XS650's forever. And whatever the "baseline" jetting is that pops up, the jetting for the GR is pretty darn close (I think I'm only a size or two different on the mains).
