1984 BMW R65 Engine Part Missing

Just bought a 1984 R65 from a buddy, needs a bit of cleaning and I noticed that there's a missing plug (guessing) on the left side of my engine near the oil dipstick. Any idea what goes here? Just under the red fuel filter in the image.

That's gotta be the timing hole. All you're missing is the cap.
