$200 440 kawasaki's?

good deal? is there really a market for 440 kawasaki cafe parts? So far is seems like the honda CB's have the aftermarket support

I've got one. Paid $500 but it was a runner that was on the way to a cafe so it has some extra goodies from the P.O.

Those are LTD models, so the regular straight cafe seating arrangement doesn't fit the frame very well. It's got an upward slant in the rear, and the middle is swaybacked. The frame tubes in the midsection are asymmetrical left-to-right, but not exactly ugly. If you're short, it makes for a nice low seat height. Instead of the usual focus on british-syled cafe bikes, I've been looking more at mid-70s cappuchino bikes (Italian things, more styling) and early superbikes.

There is almost no aftermarket for KZ440s, but clubmans fit and don't hit the tank. Rearsets are a challenge but can be done if you can weld. The stock pegs are mid-mounted so they're almost OK with clubmans but probably not clipons. They've got a 19" front and a 16" rear which further upsets a good cafe balance. They make a nice bobber, however.

They were designed as commuter bikes, so they're a bit heavy and the 440 output isn't tremendous but they'll get to 100 eventually. There's a big community for the Kaw twins linked from www.kz440.com.

I have one that is on it's way to a full out Cafe just look in the Show N Shine section I just put on new Clip-Ons and what not but mine is a KZ440B not LTD.
