21" rim on a '75 cb360

I am looking to do a 21" rim on the front of the cb360 I plan to build. I have a cl front end that I will be swapping over to get the drum brakes instead of the disc. My question is can I just get a 21" rim from an XL350 and will that work with the CL360 front end? If it is just the wheel will brakes from my Cl wheel work with the bigger rim?

As long as it has the same amount of spoke holes, you can lace it up. Braking will probably be a bit weaker with the taller wheel, but you may not even notice it.

Some other problems might be:
Are you going to run a front fender? ('cause the CL one wont fit now)
Will the new taller wheel clear the bottom triple / frame under brakes? (probably will, but worth measuring before you commit)

Good point on the fender and clearance of the bottom triple. I'll do some measuring on that. Does anyone know if the brakes are the same size on the cl wheel as the xl? I was hoping to just buy an xl wheel and not have to lace one up.

On the XL there is a place on the fork for the brake cable. It keeps the cable in place and gives it something to pull against. I'm not sure if having or not it would make a difference. I just pulled an XL350 wheel off.
