hey, I have a 1969 Honda cl350 k1. I cleaned out the tank, petcock, and cleaned and rebuilt the carbs. The problem I'am having is the carb seems to not be letting letting gas in! The petcock flows freely with no gas line connected to it. When I first attach the gas line to the carb and turn the petcock on, gas flows freely to the carbs and fills the gas line up. I start and run the bike and as soon as the bike burns up what is in the lines, no more gas flows in from the tank. IDK what the problem is??? I completely cleaned the carbs and double checked to make sure nothing is clogged or put back together wrong. Any advice or suggestions are openly welcome! Thanks

I've had some issues lately which lead me down a similar path. Check that the gas cap is venting properly. Try to run the bike with the gas cap open
thanks for the quick response! Unfortunately, I have already tried that. I believe I have linked the problem to the carb because one carb lets the gas in and flows freely all the time! so the problem being, the bike only runs on one cylinder after the gas has burned up that is in the fuel line! One carb is working is working properly and the one is not.

Take your carbs apart again... take all the pieces apart...soak them in CLEAN carb cleaner over night.... Make sure after you do this you get a POWERFUL air nozzle (fine tipped) and blow out every jet and every hole... The cb350s have really small holes you can easily clog up.. and it wont run right...so make sure you have everything clean... take a pipe cleaner or a small piece of wire and clean your fuel lines out with a dash of diesel fuel on the wire/pipe cleaner... if it still doesnt work after that... then you have something else you need to worry about...and you can explain your findings in this post..
Fuel line is pretty cheap at autozone. I got 3 feet of it for 4bucks.
Take pictures of everything. Post back your findings. We will definately help you to the best of our ability.

Also, does the 'bad side' run fine up to the point it runs out of gas? Both headers about the same temp?

Ive actually had bad petcocks that seemed to work. Follow HerrDeacons advice and switch the lines to test that theory.
Are you 100% sure that the carbs are ok?
The float isnt stuck?
Does turning the petcock to reserve and see if that helps. Sometimes if the petcock isnt clean and not allowing enough fuel through, one line (the one hooked up the the cyl/carb thats pulling a bit more) will "steal" the fuel.
Boil the petcock in lemon juice and water.

I have completely cleaned both carbs out and both had soaked in CLEAN carb for numerous days! The bad side runs Great up to the point where it runs out of gas! Both exhaust pipes get HOT! I still have the stock petcock and will try to switch the fuel lines to make sure the problem is linked to the carb! I will report my findings. Thank You

Turn the petcock off, drain the float bowl and remove it. Take the float out (but watch the float needle- easy to lose). Push the float needle up with your finger and turn the petcock on. Slowly lower your finger- if gas comes out you have a result. If nothing comes out but it flows from the petcock, then it's clogged above the float needle.

Thanks guys, I think my petcock had crud in it. Took the fuel lines off and no gas dripped out of the tank. Pulled the petcock and the tank was full of crap, the fuel crossover was full of crap and the short tube on the petcock was busted off, meaning I am probably picking up al the setament in the bottom??
