360t Recalls

Hello,

I recently picked up a 75' CB 360t. After doing some research I found there was a recall on the cam chain tensioner that could lead to some nasty side effects. I took the bike in and got the cam chain tensioner guides replaced with one from common motor collective (http://www.common-motor.com/honda-360-cam-chain-tensioner). When the mechanic did the switch, he said that it had looked like that same part had been installed, but that it had cracked in half. He said he went down with a magnet to check for any metal that may have been stuck, but said it was looking good. My question is: does this modification satisfy the recall? Also, should these be replaced every so often?

A side note now is that I'm learning there was a recall on the rocker arm. Does anyone know more information about this?

The recall was because people didn't have bikes serviced, if you have it done at 1500 mile intervals there isn't a problem with original stuff
See Trek97's blog, I sent him stuff no one else knew about (including the CJ360 oil pick up) 8)
I don't bother with some mods, but, I have more experience with CB/CJ250/360 engines than any 5 people on here

Nope, no easy way to check it without removing cam cover.
You can check oil for black bits or aluminium flakes which would tell you if chain is loose and bumping into tensioner or cylinder
It should be a lot less rattly now, very very slight 'ticking' from top end, get used to how it sounds

It's normally a bad rectifier rather than stator, get a newer single unit and wire it in
This is a Suzuki Intruder reg/rect on mine

I did complete rewiring which made things 'easier'
