650 carbs? Bitch to work on?

Coast to Coast
I am not familiar with the vacuum carbs on a 650. I heard they are a bitch to sync? True?

If so, can I put stock 750 or 500 carbs in place of the 650 carbs?

No difference in sync'ing carbs...The idle circuit is similar...CV carbs only come into play around mid RPM...

Sync them at idle, and they will be ok....same as a slide carb...

The process for syncing is just that a process...One carb is the "lead" carb, usually #2. Factory manual, and common service manual have the process.

You will need a 4 gang vacuum gauge to do it the easiest way.....
