Been Around the Block
Pulled the wires that lead to the points and cut the bad ends off. I then soldered the connectors onto the wire. I also finished up my regulator rectifier wiring. I'll post a picture later. So far it's firing good on both sides now. I'm almost positive the leads on the points were the issue. I have to go back out now and retest the charging system. Quick question, I was reading on the forum about setting the mixture screws on the carbs. When I unplug one cylinder the bike dies and it doesn't matter which side. Right now I have 105 and 70 jets, just switched to pod style filters. It has 100% more power now, I just want to make sure I'm not running to rich. When I adjust the mixture I can't hear any difference with both cylinders firing. I'm sure I'm close, but I'm trying to get it just right. The right side exhaust seems to have more output than the left, but the right carb seems to have a little lag/bog. Any ideas? Thanks!
