So I attempted to break the spare lever, which has holes bigger than the ones on my bike. No luck. I wailed on that motherfucker against a piece of angle iron vised down. I'm a big strong dude. No way those levers are going to break under any kind of braking that can be applied by hand. Maybe in the event of a crash they will break more easily than stock, but in the event of a crash lots of other shit is going to break too. I have convinced myself of the stability of this part.
