Hi, need some help. 73 Honda cb350 gas tank, the 2 reserve tank ports on the bottom seem to be clogged, I added fluid and nothing is coming out of them..is there something mechanical inside the tank that would prevent me from pushing a heavy duty wire into to free it? Or would it be gunk? I just m.e.k'd the inside and there was a lot of gunk..so maybe it clogged them? I tried to advance a wire but meet a lot of resistance. I also tried pressurized air..any ideas?

If you're referring to the two overflow nozzles (near the back of the tank on the bottom), there should be nothing in their to stop fuel from entering and exiting. You should be able to get something through from the outside to clear it. If there was a lot of gunk in there then there's a good chance that's what's stuck. Give it a go.

You need to take your petcock apart and clean it. There is a small screen in most of these which could be clogged. I wouldn't try to stick anything into it to clear the line as you might mess it up. I'm sure you can get one really cheap if needed.

When you say MEK'd the tank, do you mean you cleaned it or did you seal it? Very possible if you did a sealer you may have sealed your petcock closed. I'd just take it apart to assess it no matter what the situation is. Good luck.
