74 CB360T fork brace and bar ?s

The biggest reason not to lower the bars...is it leads to the need for rearsets, Cause your knees are in your nose.
Then rearsets... They wont fit with the exhaust. so on....etc etc its a big snowball.
Then you make a custom exhaust. then new mufflers...

then 4 years later you built my bike. and NOBODY want that. ::)
Thats funny because i want rear sets and to do a 2in1 "scrambler" style exhaust with heatshield of corse Im on a dangerous path haha

i have a set of eye to clevis 13-3/8" long konis .the springs on them now would be too heavy but i can dig through what i have proly can set the up lighter
they are great shocks 4 damping settings, nice smooth action, rebuildable...
Those look great, i might need the slight raise in the rear to help with the hoop clearance. Lmk what springs you find to go with them.

So, trek to clarify, the terazzis being so adjustable and having a raise and would be near or as comfortable as the drag w/risers bike i rode?

+1 lol Yes, as I said you may want to check out tracker bars or even keep the stock bars. Tarozzi makes bars w 1" and 2" of rise also. They will be more comfy. But might look a little silly, pushed up above the top. as compared to trackers w 2" rise.

I just installed a pair of Hagon shocks. Ive only ridden once since, damned snow. But they seem to be pretty dreamy compared w cheap shit shocks.
www.davequinnmotorcycles.com Dave is great to work with, builds and sets them up specifically for your bike and you.
Wow only 214 a pair for the Hagons! Thats without spring right? Thought they were out of my reach... gonna look into the konis too. Both seem like a cheaper alternative to progressive and something not everyone and their mom has.

Checked out the tarozzi low rise clip ons. I love them. The basically adjust into any type bar you want. And the materials look great. Very nice and can get that feel that sounds so appealing from clip ons. Im hoping the vibration isn't too bad.

Both Konis and Hagons ARE progressive. And yes the $214 includes the progressive springs and setup completely ready to bolt on. The Hagons are not rebuildable. XB says Konis are rebuildable.

I havent noticed the clipons bieng annoyingly vibrate-y. Sure they're gonna vibrate some. Just get a nice pair of gloves w vibration protection. ;D

Torozzi includes no torque specs w the bars. After doing some google searches I found a generic torque spec chart. I used purple lock-tite on the threads and went with 40ft lbs. They have been rock solid since installation. I re-torqued after a few rides. No change. For what they cost, I think tarozzi could be a little better about cleaning up the casting marks and such. But, overall they have been a great pair of bars. Bonus, drilling and pulling wires through the straight tubes. Well thats kinda self explanatory. I mean the tubes are straight. 8)

just to be correct there really are no "progressive" shocks, it is a brand name
there is such thing as progressive wound springs like on those KONI's, you can tell by the variation in the windings that it is a progressive spring
... not always superior to have a progressive spring, to the contrary, in some situations a single rate spring is a better solution,
some mfgs use 2 springs per shock this is "dual rate" spring lashup
the main reason mfgs use dual rate and progressive springs on there fitzall shocks is so that they at least hope the buyer will be fooled into thinking its good because it usually will have some nice comfy movement on jumping up and down on the seat, but in reality the fitzall shock is g-dam stiff farther into travel to accomodate heavy loads/bikes
$214 is a great deal, on the hagons

What springs would you recommend? Im 5'10" 150 and am riding about 30% highway 70% county roads. I live in a small town.

my guess would be some 60 or 75lb straight wound there are ways to calculate what spring you need based on all factors, somewhere online you should be able to find the formula/process
in the meantime ill see what i have that fits the shocks ;)

Well ive decided on the hagons and the tarozzi low rise clip ons. And yes the bar wiring is external.
Taking a trip to Florida next week with the bike in my truck. Plan on doing some riding as suggested to see how she feels in stock form and to better plan my build. When i return the rest of my parts should be here so i can start the stripping. ;-)
Seat, bars, damper, hagon suspension and rear sets will all go on in one shot in the first phase.
