'75 cb200t cafe build

Fabbed up a speedo mount to lower it a bit. The brake cable won't stay where its at, just got it out of the way for the time being.

I made a battery tray this week and just finished welding it in. I'll cut some 1/8" rubber out and epoxy it to the tray to cushion the battery. Only have to mount the tail light and build a license plate bracket and I can paint the frame.

Time to get rockin'. I picked out frame paint today. Need to finish a couple of details on the frame. Going to make the rear brake full floating and need to anchor the rear portion of the tail piece more solid. Starting to strip it to the frame tonight. Tomorrow, I'm ordering Hagon shocks and dropping the cylinder off at the machine shop to bore for the .25 overs.

Nice! What did you decide on for frame paint? I'm going to spray an epoxy primer and I'm told I can then put practically anything I want on top of that. Was thinking just doing base coat/clear coat.

yeah, that sounds right on. I'll use expoxy primer and put single stage with hardner for a top coat. Have alway had good luck with this, even on dirt bikes. Frame on the cb will be a color close to late '70s CR motocrosser and the tank and tail will be silver and gold

Had a good last couple of days in the garage. I welded up all the holes that weren't being used in the frame and started some body work on it. I made a new brake plate support strap out of aluminum and drilled holes and finished with a countersink. I had to cut the original bracket off the swing arm and weld up a wider one for the new aluminum to fit into. Getting closer to shooting some epoxy. Diesel, the single stage is a urathane with hardner. With this, I probably won't clear, but could i think it needs it.

I got the frame painted on the 30th and its back to a roller. The color is an orange-ish red. Dave Quinn called today said my shocks should be shipping from England soon. I think i ordered them about 3 weeks ago. No problem in the winter here, but if someone is needing shocks, order early. Still bouncing tank color schemes around in my head. Got it figured out i think, when the time comes.

Here's a pic with paint. I have a ways to go but its nice to actually put
