'76 cb360

Hey everyone, thought I would share my project with you. I just picked up a '76 cb360 for $150 on CraigsList. It's pretty clean too. However, the pictures make it look better than it is. Everything is pretty much there, but this is how exactly how I brought it home, it also came with a really good manual. Now I want to spend some time getting it running before I hack it up to much. So here's where I am at. I bought a new battery for it so I could see what happens, plugged it in and the horn worked so at least part of the Wiring harness is good but the start button and the run switches were pulled from the controls. Start button is still there but it's hanging from the bike (the wires on the right side). Another problem is when I kick it over it just pushes right through, no resistance, no compression? When I go from neutral to first gear the back wheel slows in motion but it doesn't stop, clutch slipping? I am pulling the carbs and doing a good cleaning, but my question is: where should I start? Here's some pics, they were also in my new members post.

Thanks Guys.

Check clutch adjustment, even in pictures you can see adjuster is screwed almost all the way out.
It may fix your kickstart

I see the clutch lever is just hanging there but I'll ask anyway. You're not holding in the clutch when you're trying to kick it, are you? It wont work that way.

So I have been looking into my clutch issues. The PO put on a new clutch cable. I tried to adjust the cable just like the manual says but no matter what I do the clutch cable is super loose. When I tighten it up it pulls in nicely but as soon as I let the clutch out again it goes even looser. ???. I adjusted both the upper and lower clutch adjustments and all seems fine until I let it out again. I'll post some pics up of it later. Any suggestions.
