Yeah don't sweat it too badly.....remember that the scenesters only represent a small...miniscule part of the buying public. To that end, I got my last xs650 running but not road worthy for $25, last year. There's an XV920r up the street that I'm gonna pick up tomorrow for $300. It runs and is registered....rare chain drive. Deals are out there if you go looking deep enough.
