pulled my plugs on Elvira today just to see how that tuning was coming along....quite pleased with the result. The one on the right is a bit darker, probably a result of the gap being .0002 bigger than the other one... lookin' good either way. cheers.

Is that some tube gear in the background there? Care more about that than your fucking plugs!

elvira got a facelift...matte black. new gauges, lowered headlight, clipons...clear coating tonight and then the badges will be placed on the tank...

Great positioning on the gauges. I think most people put their gauges up too high and it give the bike an odd upright appearance, not a low slung racer look. Very slick bike man.

THANK YOU GREG! The tank isn't going to be that color...so don't go jumpin the retard gun yet. Its going to be a sweet gunmetal with metal fleck...just wanted to match the tank and tail. got sick of the tank as it was, plus the clear on the metal wasn't holding up very well...as was expected.

Thanks on the gauges, its getting closer to where i want it.

plus, i can go back to that jeweled tank in about 10 minutes with my compressor and bit...that shit was a breeze.

You've had the bike a bit now, and know what it sounds like at redline.....
....might I suggest ditching the tach, and mounting that speedo on the fork leg where you can see it if you glance down.

Have seen that a few times on builds and is always impressive how clean the top line is when gauges are removed with clip-on bars.

not a bad idea...i'll play around and see if i can figure something out. I've got a few days to dick around whilst i await my tank and tail to be returned all shiny and glorious.

here is my workshop/lounge/man-cave of greatness...just wanted to make some folks jealous...

Now I need to take a pic of my shop since we've decided to turn mile's build thread into a shop pic thread. :D

im really just to lazy to start a new thread...so yeah, i'll just be posting everything pertinent to me and my bike on one thread...lol

the engine is starting to look purdy. got me some stacks from Steel Dragon, rejetted the carbs to 114. painted, cleaned, new bolts and nuts galore...just waiting for the parts to come in and i'll put her back together.

What are you going to do about the exhaust situation? That thing is kinda short... I bet you're losing all sorts of power.

thats because i am waiting on my new muffler...17'' reverse cone megaphone...should be pretty epic. Altho, i have ridden it with the pipes as they are, and it had way more power than it did when i had the bulky exhaust the PO had put on there.... but rest assured, proper exhaust shall be installed. good lookin' out matt!

Dude, that engine is looking pretty wicked. Very sleek!

Love the charcoal black color and finish. Is it powdered or wrinkle?
