Hey Gents,

I'm new to the forum and have tried searching for this answer but have had no luck.

My question: I have a '77 cb750 (19" fonr wheen and 17'' rear). Can I use my 17" rear hub and lace it to a factory 18" rear rim with factory 18" spokes? Did the hub change for the 1977-78 year? I know the rear sprocket spacing changed but did the hub flange change too?

Thanks in advance for any help

Chris

I have a dumb question - its for sure a 17 inch rim? Don't recall that and most people swap to 16 when they tried to chop them back in the day.

You should be able to bolt an 18 inch wheel onto your bike no problem or lace an 18 inch rim to it. Not sure if the stock 18 inch spokes would fit but they should.

Pics of your wheel?

Yup its a 17. A little odd. Chances are 99% the hub is stock and would readily accept a stock set of 18 inch spokes and the rim.
