'77 CJ360T (Café SOS) - Calling it Done (for now...)

Re: '77 CJ360T (Café SOS) - Just about done (for now)!

Bike isn't really up and running yet. I still need to get a battery (capacitor didn't work as I'd hoped), replace an oil seal, and sync/tune the carbs. My motivation has sort of taken a turn for the worse since the weather has gone bad. I'll get around to it pretty soon, but with it raining nine days out of 10, there's no big hurry.

Re: '77 CJ360T (Café SOS) - Just about done (for now)!

That sucks, I know the feeling. Weather here in Chicago is getting shitty. I haven't been able to really move forward lately. My profile pic is the latest stage my bike is in. No paint, wires to be connected and a whole bunch of other stuff to do.

OK... got her all painted up and put back together. Home stretch now. You may notice the new velocity stack covers that arrived in the mail today. I'm currently working on upholstery for the seat while I wait for the tail light to arrive in the mail. Then it's clear coat and wrap the pipes and fire this beast up.

  • Sync Carbs and then Tune Carbs
  • Wrap Pipes*
  • Upholster Seat*

* - Maybe not necessary for riding, but still stuff I need/want to do

Re: '77 CJ360T (Café SOS) - Just about done (for now)!

OK... so it wasn't even on my to do list, but at least I've made a start on something...

Fender brace cleaned up and mounted.

Re: '77 CJ360T (Café SOS) - Just about done (for now)!

Looks awesome. Did you make that fork brace?

Re: '77 CJ360T (Café SOS) - Just about done (for now)!

It came off of a stock 360 fender. It just needed to be cleaned up a bit.

Re: '77 CJ360T (Café SOS) - Just about done (for now)!

Looks great all polished

Re: '77 CJ360T (Café SOS) - Just about done (for now)!

Re: '77 CJ360T (Café SOS) - Just about done (for now)!

Mmmm-hmmmm. Lookin sharp man!!

Re: '77 CJ360T (Café SOS) - Just about done (for now)!

Totally missed this build. Love the color combo and graphics. Old school look for sure and good job w/ teardown pics.

Re: '77 CJ360T (Café SOS) - Just about done (for now)!

That brace looks like it worked out pretty damn good!

Re: '77 CJ360T (Café SOS) - Just about done (for now)!

Getting closer... oil seal replaced and I hope I solved the vapor lock issue... One of the carb bowls is now leaking past the gasket, so I guess I'll need to fix that, too.
