ive got plenty of them how long ? do you need
i would personally fashion up a switching spring from a hardware store spring,or a cupl rubberbands all the spring does is keep from the switch getting its guts yanked out

Exactly so. I have often made up my own from piano wire, but the spring element is a fail safe and I have even used stainless steel welding wire (which has piss poor spring characteristics) with fine effect. It doesn't have to be fancy - you can put a bolt in your vice and wind a few wraps on it and there you are!
