Got the hoop welded on last week

This week I tore down the forks for cleaning, bead blast, paint and rebuild.

We built a tray for the battery and wiring and got it welded on. Time to take the frame to get powder coated.

I like the mesh bottom tray; that's stealthy, and it'll keep things cool.

I think Cycle X make a dual carb kit for the DOHC's now, as well. That would be something worth checking out. (as an aside, I worked with Ken back in the day at Cycle Empire, before he started Cycle X. I used to drool over the Trident drag bike he built every day.)
I'm digging the mesh battery tray, too. I did something kinda like that on my 500.

Love this bike, this was my inspiration originally, but now I am going more of a brat/street tracker style. Came across a 350 I'm gonna try to pick up and cafe out.

Definitely gonna have to check out the carbs on cycle x.
